The first and foremost thing you must know before you begin is the types of sites we DO NOT accept under any circumstances:
#1 We do not accept sites associated with MLM type programs, such as:
- "Six Figure Income" - Do NOT join our exchange for any URL connected to this company.
- "EZ Info Center" - Do NOT join our exchange for any URL connected to this company.
- "Going Platinum" - Do NOT join our exchange for any URL connected to this company.
- "Armchair Tycoon" - Do NOT join our exchange for any URL connected to this company.
- "Secrets2success" - Do NOT join our exchange for any URL connected to this company.
#2 We do not accept sites that jump out of the frame and/or do not provide the visitor a single, simple click out of the site.
#3 VERY IMPORTANT: If you cannot add a FRAMESET to a page of your website, you will not be able to use this level of our service, so do NOT join here - please go to our Beginner Level instead.
The Experienced Level is for people who CAN paste a "frameset" into a page or pages within their sites. If you cannot do this, then you CANNOT join at this level. Please go to our Beginner Level instead.
To better understand our service, just think of it as a "banner exchange" with two main differences.
- Your ad is MUCH larger than a banner ad and can be "smarter" too since it can be an HTML page instead of a basic image file;
- Getting our code into your site properly requires HTML experience and is NOT a simple "cut and paste" process. Anyone with a minimal amount of HTML experience should be able to get the code in place in a matter of 5 - 10 minutes (our Technical Support Team can assist you in this process if necessary).
At the Experienced Level you have great flexibility in what you can do. Here are the basic steps you must follow
- You must first create a Skyscraper ad for your site. All ad pages must be HTML pages with the extension .html or .htm. The width of the pages should not exceed 140 pixels (accomplished using tables). There is no limit to heigth. Ads should not be larger than 12k including all images. Java scripts, pop-ups, pop-unders, etc. are NOT allowed in your ad in any way, at any time. Once your ad is created, put it up on your server and note the URL.
- Join our skyscraper exchange. You will be given instructions on how to do simple a modification to your webpage to create the necessary Frame and place the HTML code you get upon joining. Do not modify the HTML code. You can add our Frame to any number of pages in your web site, but are limited to one per page. By placing a separate code on each of your webpages you will be maximizing the credits you earn and exposure you receive for your ad. (More details below...)
- Once you have joined, placed our unmodified code onto your site and furnished your ad URL, we will verify all of your account information, and activate your account. Up to the time we "activate" your account, all impressions that you earn WILL be credited and accrue in your account. Your ads will start appearing throughout the network as soon as your account is turned on.
- Note - if we visit the URL you specify as the code location and/or ad URL and cannot find these to be present and correct, your account will NOT be turned on.
We realize you may not want to change the layout of your home page. That is understandable and will not prevent you from taking full advantage of our SkyscraperAds.com Technology.
In fact, not changing the look of your home page may be the BEST way to get the most out of our FREE service.
To maximize results for your web site, create text links on your home page, and any other pages in your site, which link to SkyscraperAds.com coded pages in your site. Obviously, you want point existing links you have to SkyscraperAds.com coded pages as well.
Whether you have links to your own product pages within your site, Affiliate links to other sites, or links to information pages in your site, doing this one simple thing will increase your current results by no less than 50%...
